It’s been wonderful. But, in all honesty, that’s mostly because I don’t have to worry about my partners leaving out large snippets of information that might potentially risk life and limb. It’s been refreshing.

Unfortunately, Eames was never very good at talking himself out of horribly stupid ideas, and he was moving after the other man, taking a seat next to him at the bar and ordering himself a scotch, feeling like he would need the added boost as he hunched in on himself. Playing up the stupid backwoods brit that the other man no doubt thought he was, he grinned a bit and let his accent thicken a little.}

He hadn’t meant to say anything, really. He’d meant to simply watch the other man from afar, a need to see if what they’d done to him had any adverse effect as the rest of the team whirled away on the adrenaline that came from escaping a neverending hell. What Eames hadn’t expected, though, was for Robert Fischer to knock into him as he crossed to the bar to grab another pint, a slight smile appearing on his face at the question.}
